The 9th Virginia Cavalry, Company I roster, includes the service records of over 100 men and was taken from the official Compiled Service Records in the National Archives. Those records suffer from omissions which will be reflected in this roster. Personal data on some of the men has also been gleaned from genealogies, local histories, descendants, cemetery records, death records and newspapers.
